Come experience the sounds of local musicians as they demonstrate their talents. Have a guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dulcimer - anything unplugged - and want to play along, please come! 10 am - 4 pm (includes 1 hour lunch break). Tuition: $35. Instructor: Brenda Rogers. Minimum 3 students; maximum 6. Come learn the basics of knitting in this one-day workshop. Brenda is an incredible knitter & a gifted teacher. This class is perfect for beginners or those who would like a refresher course in knitting basics. Students can choose one of 2 easy projects: a wash cloth or scarf; or just practice, practice, practice with Brenda's expert help. Foot Rx Asheville presents the 2013 Tsali Frosty Foot Fest 50k, 30k, and 8k trail races on the world famous Tsali Trail System, featuring scenic trails rolling alongside the scenic Fontana Lake. This is a three part lecture series. Join Andrea Ford as she takes us for an in-depth journey into the inner workings of the three intelligence centers of the Enneagram. The Instinctual Center, The Feeling Center and The Thinking Center. In each 2 hour class Andrea will delve deeply into one of three intelligence centers. Part 2 will be held on January 29th and Part 3 on February 12th. The cost is $15 per class or $35 for the entire series.

Monthly programs will run through winter and will be one to one and a half hours in length. Each session will include some asana/posture practice and will be followed by a topic such as yogic breath-work, meditation, etc.

In "SoLe Sanctuary," Savion Glover's reverence for the art of tap is displayed like none you have ever seen. Described by the New York Times as "...bareboned and pure, full of the kind of rhythmic innovations that trips down one path, splinters off inb different directions and then sweeps back home."
His numerous credits include "Tap" with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr., "Bamboozled" by Spike Lee and "Happy Feet," an Academy Award-winner choreographed by Glover as well as several Broadway shows.

When it comes to making great music, kindred spirits somehow seem to find each other and such is the case with Edens Edge. Three talented young musicians from Arkansas-Hannah Blaylock, Dean Berner, and Cherrill Green-make their debut on Big Machine Records with a vibrant sound that honors country music's roots while creatively pushing the envelope with their seasoned musicianship, dazzling harmonies and insightful songwriting. Compete and come watch some of the most exciting cross-country and downhill mountain bike racing in the mountains. There will be two waves of cross-country racing at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm followed by the infamous nighttime Downhill Race beginning at "dark-thirty". Event after party, awards and bonfire to follow after the day's racing. Online registration closes Thursday, January 24 at 11:59 PM. Registration the day of the race is subject to a $10 late fee. Registration begins at 8:00 AM.
