Beggining Saturday February 4, this is a two day class on Saturdays in February ( Feb. 4 and 11) This class is for beginners or people who would like a refresher course in the basics. Come join Land Trust for the Little Tennessee's Land Stewardship Director, Dennis Desmond, for a winter walk along the Little Tennessee River at Needmore to the old Brush Creek Farm. The walk will lead to a secluded cove! People are encouraged to carpool as parking on Needmore is limited. You are invited to a FREE Bluegrass Benefit Concert featuring Cody Shuler and Pine Mountain Railroad this Saturday, February 4, at 7:00 pm at Swain County Center for the Arts in Bryson City. This bebefit, "Giving Hope," is for The Hope Chest located in Asheville, which helps women with cancer who have no insurance or insufficient insurance to cover the cost of treatment in 22 Western North Carolina Counties. The benefit is organized by Linda Wike, who is a cancer survivor who was helped by The Hope Chest.
