The Polar Express

The Polar Express

The 1 ¼ hour round-trip excursion on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad comes to life as the train departs Bryson City for a special visit at the "North Pole." Set to the sounds of the motion picture soundtrack, guests on board will enjoy warm cocoa and a treat while listening and reading along with the magical story.

The train arrives to find Santa Claus waiting. Santa boards the train greeting each child and presenting them with their own silver sleigh bell. Christmas carols will be sung as they return back to the Bryson City Depot. Call 800-872-4681 or click here

Hike the Smokies: Little River/Cucumber Gap Trails, Elkmont

Friends of the Smokies guided hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park feature interpretation of the featured trail, history, and park projects supported by Friends of the Smokies.
This Elkmont hike is an easy 7 mile trail system and features a look at historic Elkmont with the highlight of the hike being Parks as Classrooms.

Back Porch Old Time Music Jam
