Oconaluftee Indian Village

When: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Saturday

Where: Oconaluftee Indian Village

Mon-Sat; closed Sundays. As you step into the Oconaluftee Indian Village, you’re transported back to witness the challenges of Cherokee life at a time of rapid cultural change. Tour guides help you explore the historic events and figures of the 1760's. Visitors can interact with villagers as they  participate in their daily activities. The Village also hosts live reenactments, interactive demonstrations, and Hands-On Cherokee Pottery for Kids classes. More info

May 26 thru October 28 Fridays & Saturday only;  also open the week of Monday, June 26 - Saturday, July 1; closed the month of September Relax by the bonfire and river, and enjoy some of Cherokee's best storytellers entertain you and your family with Cherokee myths, legends and passed on stories. Movies on Everett

We're kicking off the season with The Little Mermaid. Movies on Everett is a family friendly event that takes place every Friday night from June 2 - July 28. On site concessions and chair rentals or bring your own. Enjoy a free movie under the stars in downtown Bryson City! More information

Birds of Prey Program

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is again teaming up with the Balsam Mountain Trust for a program to provide visitors with an up-close glimpse of some of the planets most recognized and revered wild animals such as the tiny eastern screech owl and northern bald eagle.
