Peanuts the Easter Beagle Express Train Event

The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad welcomes back The PEANUTS™ Easter Beagle Express! Trains  travel along the Tuckasegee River into the quaint town of Dillsboro for the 1 ½ hour layover.

Passengers will join Snoopy, Lucy, Charlie Brown and our Easter Bunnies for old fashioned Easter fun! Festivities include an on-going Easter egg hunt, crafts, coloring sheets, temporary tattoos, and snacks with Snoopy and more. Call 800-872-4681 for reservations.  More info

Knobscorcher Mountain Bike Race

This annual mountain bike race is a favorite of racers throughout the Southeast.  Held on the trails at the Tsali Recreation Area in Western North Carolina, some of the most famous trails in the Eastern US, this two day race event is the third of the South Eastern Regional Championships series and features a cross country race held on Sunday.
