Oconaluftee Indian Village

Where: Oconaluftee Indian Village
Mon-Sat; closed Sundays. As you step into the Oconaluftee Indian Village, you’re transported back to witness the challenges of Cherokee life at a time of rapid cultural change. Tour guides help you explore the historic events and figures of the 1760's. Visitors can interact with villagers as they participate in their daily activities. The Village also hosts live reenactments, interactive demonstrations, and Hands-On Cherokee Pottery for Kids classes. More info
Darnell Farms Wonderous Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Come to the Farm for some old-fashioned fun! Walk through our Corn Maze ($8) by answering difficult trivia questions at each numbered stop in order to avoid the winding turns and dead ends. Enjoy a hayride ($2) and visit our huge six-acre pumpkin patch, where you and your family choose your perfect Jack O' Lantern Prices vary by size). All the tots will enjoy the Kiddie Corn Box and our 20-foot swing set, right on the river bank.
October 20-23 & 27-31 will be the EXTREME Haunted Corn and Hayride Experience. $10 per person, and children under 8 will have to be escorted by someone who is at least 16 years of age. Haunting will start at Dusk (8ish) and end at Midnight. Be there if you Dare! More info
Downtown Trick or Treat

Enjoy a fun, safe and small town trick or treating experience this Halloween! With the streets closed, the kids are out in full force to fill their bags with candy from the costumed downtown merchants. And don't forget the costume contest open to all ages with the winner in each class receiving a gift certificate to Soda Pops (the local ice cream shop).
