"Land of Blue Shadows" book launch at the Fryemont Inn. The final publication from beloved regional poet, naturalist and writer George Ellison along side gorgeous paintings and photography from his wife, Elizabeth Ellison and photography from their daughter Quintin Ellison. The book covers their lives living among the Smokies, depictions of Western North Carolina culture and interpretations of its untamed natural domain reveal life in the land of blue shadows through the work of some of the region’s most cherished artists.
